The Town of Newmarket is conducting a series of infrastructure upgrades within the downtown area. The scope of work includes rehabilitating and upgrading watermains and services, sanitary sewers and laterals, stormwater sewers and roadway infrastructure improvements to extend the useful service life of infrastructure and ensure reliability of services.
The project is currently in the design phase (2026-2028) with construction expected to start in 2029 and 2031(in two phases).
Project boundaries (streets) include the following:
Arden Avenue (Queen Street to Millard Avenue)
Church Street (Park Avenue to Eagle Street)
D’Arcy Street (Church Street to Eagle Street)
Eagle Street (Lorne Avenue to Water Street)
Niagara Street (Davis Drive to Queen Street)
Ontario Street (west of Niagara Street to Main Street South)
Queen Street (Lorne Avenue to Main Street South)
Simcoe Street (west of Niagara Street to Main Street South)
