Fairy Lake Boardwalk Reconstruction Project

The Town of Newmarket will be reconstructing the Fairy Lake boardwalk as the boardwalk is reaching the end of its lifecycle. Improvements include but are not limited to:

• Widening the boardwalk to meet requirements set out in the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA)
• Installing drainage solutions to prevent flooding
• Installing rest areas for trail users
• Installing railings for enhanced safety
• Extending the boardwalk up to the Municipal Offices area

Please see the map below of the construction area. This project has been approved by Newmarket Council and is funded by asset replacement reserve fund.

Drop-in for a public meeting to learn about the Fairy Lake Boardwalk Reconstruction Project.

• Date: Wednesday, April 1, 2026 from 6 to 8 p.m.
• Location: Municipal Offices (395 Mulock Drive) inside the Council Chambers

At this public meeting you will get to:

• See the various design concepts on display boards presented by the Town's consultant
• Ask questions about the conceptual designs and,
• Provide your feedback on how you'd like to see the boardwalk transformed.
