The Town of Newmarket is looking to redevelop the old Hollingsworth arena site into a new park.
The proposed concept intends to include the following park features:
Playground
Spray pad
Ball hockey rink (Summer)
Shinney size chilled ice hockey rink (Winter)
Open grass area
Hard surface walkways and connections
Gathering/seating area(s)
Benches
Picnic tables with umbrellas
Waste receptacle(s)
Landscaping
Lighting
Public Consultation Centre (PCC): Hollingsworth Park Project
The Town of Newmarket invites residents to attend a Public Consultation Centre (PCC) to learn more about the Hollingsworth Park Project.
When: Thursday, June 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. (drop in anytime)
Where: Municipal Offices (395 Mulock Drive) in the Cane A and B rooms.
At this meeting, you will get to view the initial design concept, see the proposed design features, provide your feedback and speak to staff and the Town's consultant, Landscape Planning Limited.
Can't make it to the Public Meeting?
Display boards from the public meeting will be posted to this webpage after the PCC. Comments will be accepted online after the PCC until June 18, 2026. Check back for more details.
