Lorne Avenue Reconstruction Project from Eagle Street to Davis Drive

Consultation has concluded
The Town of Newmarket held a Public Consultation Centre (PCC) for the Lorne Avenue Reconstruction Project on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Newmarket Community Centre and Lions Hall (200 Doug Duncan Drive).
The PCC will included a presentation for the proposed works that will occur in this project - which can be downloaded from the documents portion of this project webpage.
The work includes the replacement of the watermain and water services, sanitary sewers and services to the property line, possible replacement of storm sewers and catch basins, road narrowing, new AODA compliant sidewalks and road resurfacing. The purpose of the PCC is to discuss the project with residents and solicit any feedback or concerns there may be before we start designing the project.
The agenda for the PCC was as follows:
5:30 p.m. – Opening
6:00 p.m. – Presentation
6:30 p.m. – Questions and answers
7:30 p.m. – Adjournment
The presentation described the project limits and the scope of work. Drawings were not available during the PCC, but a map of the street will be available during the presentation. A Public Information Centre (PIC) will be later this year and will feature detailed drawings for the project.
You will have a second opportunity to comment at the PIC. The date for the PIC will be advertised to the public at a later date on this webpage and through the Town's communication channels.
