Millard Avenue, Church Street & Elm Street Construction Update

This notice is to provide you with an update on the Millard Avenue, Church Street and Elm Street reconstruction project. As a reminder, the scope of work for this project includes:

• Watermain lining on Millard Avenue and Church Street,

• New watermain installation by open cut on Elm Street,

• New catch basin installations,

• Installation of new sanitary sewers, including new sanitary services to the property line,

• Sidewalk modifications on Millard Avenue, and

• Full-depth Road reconstruction.

Project Progress

The Contractor remobilized to site in early June, to complete the remaining works, including restoration activities, manhole adjustments, addressing any outstanding deficiencies, and placement of the surface asphalt course.

The project remains on schedule and is anticipated to be completed by the end of July 2026. Millard Avenue will remain open to local traffic during all remaining construction activities. However, temporary road closures and access restrictions may be required during placement of the surface asphalt course. Advance notice will be provided prior to any such closures and restrictions.

The Town appreciates your patience and cooperation throughout this project. Every effort will be made to minimize inconvenience and complete the remaining work as efficiently and safely as possible.
