Help plan, create and have your say about Newmarket! We are hosting and upcoming Public Information Centre about the Official Plan Review that will showcase what we’ve done so far, what we’ve heard from the community, and collect your feedback on next steps to help build and shape our Official Plan.

The Town’s consultant will be presenting to Council some preliminary policy considerations relating to employment, growth management, natural heritage, climate change/sustainability, transportation, and servicing, and seek their comments on these initial recommendations.

The Town’s consultant will be presenting to Council some preliminary policy considerations relating to land use, housing, place-making, and the South of Davis Area study, and seek their comments on these initial recommendations

• Where: Municipal Offices and/or streamed online at newmarket.ca/meetings 

When: Monday, June 12 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Official Plan Review Virtual Public Meeting 

Join us for the Town of Newmarket Official Plan Review virtual public information session on Tuesday, October 8th from 7 to 9 p.m. This online event, hosted together with our consultants, will focus on discussing key policy directions for the updated Official Plan.

Our consultants from WSP Canada will present an overview of the policy directions that will shape the updated Official Plan. Key themes include growth management, complete communities, affordable housing, climate change, transportation, cultural and natural heritage, equity, diversity, and inclusion, and more! This is a great opportunity to ask questions and provide your feedback directly to the study team.

We encourage all residents to participate and share their insights. While registration is not required, we do encourage participants to register to help us account for attendance numbers. A registration link for this Virtual PIC will be provided soon. Check back on this website to register!
