Consultation has concluded

The Town of Newmarket repaved the Paul Semple Park parking lot, and installed drainage improvements to prevent flooding in the area during inclement weather. This work was completed on September 4, 2026 and the parking lot has reopened.

Disruption and closures during construction 

  • The Paul Semple Parking lot will be closed to public access for the duration of the construction work.
  • The sidewalk and path to enter Paul Semple Park will remain open.
