The Town of Newmarket is exploring the regulation of “short-term rental accommodations” (STRAs) and wants to hear from residents.

Short-Term Rental Accommodations (STRA) refer to people renting their residence, or part of it, for short periods (less than 30 days), often through online booking platforms.

Short-Term Rental Accommodations are a popular, growing trend across the world and in Newmarket there are various sites, such as Airbnb, VRBO, HomeAway and Booking.com that residents can use to list their rental accommodations.
