Stackhouse Pond Trail Project - Temporary Sidewalk Closure

The Town of Newmarket is continuing construction of the Stackhouse Pond Trail Project. To accommodate upcoming construction activities and ensure public safety, a section of sidewalk adjacent to the construction area will be temporarily closed.

Closure Details

When: October 13, 2026 to October 23, 2026 (weather permitting)

Location: Sidewalk adjacent to the Stackhouse Pond Trail construction area.

Pedestrian Access: Pedestrians are advised to use the sidewalk on the south side of Stackhouse Road as an alternate route. Please follow all posted detour signage.

What to Expect

  • Temporary closure of the sidewalk adjacent to the construction area.

  • Construction fencing, barricades and signage to safely direct pedestrians around the works zone.

  • Construction vehicles and equipment operating in the area.

  • Periodic construction noise and activity during regular working hours.

Safety Reminder

For your safety, please follow all posted signage and remain outside fenced or restricted construction areas. Pedestrians are reminded to use the designated alternate route along the south side of Stackhouse Pond.
