Have Your Say — Complete the Stormwater Survey Today!

Welcome!

The survey runs from May 26 to June 26 and should take approximately 10 minutes to complete.

The information boards from the Public Open House held May 26, 2026, are available online here

The Town of Newmarket is updating its Stormwater Comprehensive Plan to review and enhance our strategy to manage stormwater.

Stormwater is the rain and melted snow that runs off streets and properties, into creeks and streams, and eventually into rivers, Lake Simcoe, and the Great Lakes.

The Town manages stormwater with a system of pipes, ditches, Low Impact Developments, Oil and Grit Separators, and stormwater management ponds. This infrastructure helps to improve the water quality of runoff and to reduce erosion and flooding.

When complete, the Plan will support growth, comply with regulations, support climate change resilience, and reduce risks to people, property, and the environment.

If you require alternate formats or need assistance in understanding the maps, images or any other content, please contact the project manager, Kate Thomson, at kthomson@newmarket.ca.
