Walkway Improvements: Broughton/Lockwood and Nelson/Shanahan

The Town of Newmarket will be undertaking improvements to two walkways located at:

• Broughton Lane and Lockwood Circle
• Nelson Circle and Shanahan Boulevard.

Construction is anticipated to start in 2026 with the design phase starting near the end of 2025.

Walkway Improvements

• Fixing leaning retaining walls
• Improvements to staircases (if present)
• Lighting improvements for better visibility and safety

Prior to the start of construction, we are looking for general feedback on what can be improved along these walkways. Feedback will be collected until September 30, 2025.
