Willowick Park Improvements

The Town of Newmarket is excited to share that improvements are coming to Willowick Park. Construction will include the installation of a new basketball sport court and upgrades to the playground equipment.

Construction Schedule (weather dependent)

• Park Close Date: September 2, 2025
• Park Opening Date: November 1, 2025

What to Expect During Construction

• The entire park, including the playground and trail, will be closed for the duration of construction.
• Residents may experience construction noise, dust, and increased activity from trucks and equipment in the area.
• Construction crews will be working primarily during weekday daytime hours, subject to weather and site conditions. The work will be conducted with respect to the Town of Newmarket’s Noise By-law 2024-08.

For your safety, please do not enter the construction area at any time. Heavy equipment and active work zones create hazards, and access will be strictly restricted to construction personnel only.
