Beswick Drive Watermain Replacement and Road Reconstruction Project
The Town of Newmarket is conducting infrastructure improvements and road reconstruction on Beswick Drive, (see map below for details). The work includes:
- Replacement of the watermain;
- Spot repairs and improvements to sanitary and storm sewer;
- Installation of new sidewalk on the east side of the road to meet accessibility (AODA) requirements; and
- Road reconstruction including curb replacement and new asphalt.
Work is expected to begin in late Summer 2026 starting with watermain replacement and sewer spot repairs. Road reconstruction, including new sidewalk installation, is planned for Spring & Summer 2027. The final asphalt lift is anticipated in Spring 2028 to allow time for settlement following the watermain works.

Public Consultation Centre (PCC): Beswick Drive Watermain Replacement and Road Reconstruction Public Meeting
The Town of Newmarket invites residents to attend a drop-in for a Public Consultation Centre (PCC) to learn more about the Beswick Drive Watermain Replacement and Road Reconstruction .
- When: Tuesday, April 21, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m.
- Where: Municipal Offices (395 Mulock Drive) in the Cane A & Cane B Rooms
Drop by anytime to review the design, ask questions and provide feedback. Representatives from the Town’s Engineering Services and the consulting engineers on the project (CIMA+) will be available to answer questions.
