Hello,
I am interested in how Newmarket will become a zero waste community. Specifically:
Town Policies: - How to require our institutions and commercial enterprises to participate in waste diversion and banning single use disposable plastic
- How to make our municipal buildings run in green energy
- How to make our city vehicles all electric
Builders Regulations: - How to require new home builders to insulate homes above current standards
- What appliance and water use standard are in place for new homes (toilets, showers, dishwashers, etc)
Town Planning: - How to maintain 50 meter recommended distance between buildings and highways
- What percentage of green space and forest our Town plan requires
Thanks
