Elvidge Trail Parkette

The Town of Newmarket is developing a new parkette which will be constructed near the north end of Elvidge Trail. Based on the feedback received from the Public Meeting, the Town is working on refining the design of the parkette. More information will be communicated later in 2026.

The work includes:

• New Playground: Junior and senior climbers, slide, swings, sensory panel.
• Site Furniture: Shade structure, seating, bike rack, waste receptacle, gates
• Surfacing:
  • Engineered safety playground mulch pit
  • Accessible concrete ramps
  • Concrete Sidewalk extension
  • Concrete paved open area
• Landscaping:
  • Tree transplanting
  • Curbed garden beds
  • Armour stone retaining wall
  • Tree and shrub buffer planting
  • Grass and native plant seeding
