Lorne Avenue - Construction Corner Update #5 - Week of November 01, 2021

As a resident of Lorne Avenue, you have been receiving regular notices from the Town of Newmarket concerning the reconstruction project in your area.

Over the past two weeks:

• All watermain, storm, and sanitary work between Eagle and Timothy Streets have been completed.

• The construction site office, generator and the Porta-Potty were relocated to a new location on Calgain Road, immediately west of Lorne Avenue.

Over the next two weeks:

• The contractor will start re-building the road at Avenue road. Work will be completed between Avenue and Eagle Street first, with the section between Timothy and Avenue completed thereafter.

As the construction progresses, the temporary rolling road closures will continue. This will allow for the various sub-stages of the road reconstruction from Eagle Street to the Timothy Street intersection to be completed. Access for Local and Emergency Vehicle traffic and pedestrians will be maintained at all times.

Detour routes have been set up for vehicular traffic. Access for pedestrians and emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
