Residential Parking Study: Upcoming Council Workshop
The Town of Newmarket is continuing work on the Residential Parking Study, which explores parking needs, challenges, and opportunities across our residential neighbourhoods. We are currently in Phase 2: Background Review, where the consultant team is analyzing existing conditions, community feedback, and best practices to inform future recommendations for on-street and off-street parking in the town’s low- and medium-density residential areas.
On Monday, November 10, Town staff and the consultant team will present additional findings from the background analysis at a Council Workshop. This session will provide further insights into parking trends and best practices to support effective residential parking management. This workshop builds on the work presented at the December 9, 2024, Council Workshop, where initial findings and key themes were introduced.
- Council Workshop Date: Monday, November 10, 2025
- Watch Live or View the Agenda: Council Meeting Minutes and Agendas
Following the workshop, the presentation will be posted to this webpage for public viewing.
We encourage residents, stakeholders, and community partners to stay engaged and informed as we work together to shape parking solutions that reflect Newmarket’s evolving needs. For more information, contact: planning@newmarket.ca
