As part of the Town of Newmarket’s Stormwater Management Facility Inspection and Maintenance Program, the Town and its consultant, Aquafor Beech Limited, hosted a public session to share details about the upcoming Waratah stormwater improvement project at Charles Van Zant Park.
At this session, the project team presented and discussed the project and concept plans. Future stormwater improvements will aim to reduce flooding and enhance water quality.

Public Meeting Details
When: Tuesday, November 18 from 7 to 8 p.m.
Registration: Registration for this meeting is now closed.
Where: Municipal Offices (395 Mulock Drive) in the Cane A and B Room
Format: Drop-in style, open house format. There was no formal presentation. Display boards about the project were available for review and comment. Staff from the Town’s consultant (Aquafor Beech Ltd), as well as Town staff, were present to walk attendees through the project, gather feedback, and answer questions.
Background The project is the result of the Wayne & Waratah Environmental Assessment completed in 2017. The project will involve improvements to the stormwater system within Charles Van Zant Park. This project is a stand-alone project recommended through an Environmental Assessment.
